Modern Farmhouse Feel Coupled with Spectacular Views

LaGrange, Georgia is about to become home to The Yard on Mill, a 240-unit, modern farm-house inspired apartment community, overlooking the picturesque town. Arlington Construction Services is the general contractor for owner, Mill Creek Partners, LLC, and Arlington Property Management will provide professional leasing and management services for the community.

“This is the first large-scale, market-rate apartment community, built in LaGrange in quite a while,” said Charles Haskett, founding principal of Bonavic, the developer for the project. “The tax benefits of this location were attractive, as was the charm of the downtown with its mix of restaurants, a new brewery, new amphitheater, LaGrange College and historical significance. This small town has a lot of character.”

Haskett said when coming up with the name, choosing names with significance is part of his company’s culture. He noted that the growth of LaGrange during the 1800s was fueled by the textile industry, which is still present today, and the name, The Yard on Mill, pays homage to
that. “We were thinking, yard, as in a yard of fabric– as well as something that helps create a sense of place–a gathering place.”

Located just minutes from I-85 at 150 Mill Creek Parkway, the unit mix of the apartment community includes five different floor plans, featuring one, two, and three-bedroom apartment homes. Community amenities in the leasing center and clubhouse will have a modern farmhouse feel, with rustic-chic barn doors that can be opened and closed to create gathering areas. A café /coffee shop is planned in the leasing office area, complete with a conference room for residents use.

The state-of-the-art fitness center will offer high-end and high-tech work-out options for residents. The lounge area in the clubhouse will feature unusual touches like old school arcade games and pub-style tables. The clubhouse and lounge area will lead outdoors to a resort-style saltwater pool with sun shelf.

Amenities within the apartment include a mudroom with a built-in farmhouse style bench and coat rack. In homes with two baths, one will have a stand-up shower, and the other will have the tub/shower combination. All homes will offer patios.
