Arlington Properties Announces Award Winners at Annual Leadership Conference

Conference held in New Orleans April 24-25

Arlington Properties, Inc., is pleased to recognize 2018 Awards of Excellence winners, announced today at its annual Leadership Conference held in New Orleans, Louisiana.  This year, the two-day conference also celebrated Arlington’s 50 years of success and growth with Curtis Zimmerman, nationally acclaimed speaker and author of the best-seller “Life at Performance Level,” presenting the keynote address.

Team members from Arlington’s 14-state footprint were present for the action-packed event which culminated in an awards dinner on the 41st floor of the Downtown Marriott at the Convention Center hotel overlooking the historic French Quarter and the Mississippi River.

Tammy M. Wyble, president of Arlington Properties’ Property Management Division began the awards presentation with these remarks, “Tonight, we honor the demonstrated excellence of each individual winner. Your efforts serve to light the way as we provide integrity uncompromised in every area that we touch,” she said. “I want to personally congratulate and thank each one of you on your accomplishment and leadership.”

Award criteria and 2018 recipients include:

Community Manager of the Year – The award is presented to the community manager who best demonstrates overall excellence in the areas of team leadership, customer service and value creation. This year’s recipient is Natalie Daugherty, Legacy at Crystal Lake, Port Orange, Florida.

Service Manager of the Year – The award is presented to the service manager who best demonstrates overall excellence in the areas of team leadership, customer service and technical expertise. This year’s recipient is Brett McKellar, Malibu at Martin, Huntsville, Alabama

Arlington Star Award – The award is presented to the property which best displays outstanding curb appeal, above average financial success, and excellent customer service and resident satisfaction. This year’s recipient is Marc Holcombe, District Lofts, Jackson, Mississippi.

Can-Do Attitude – The award is presented to the manager who displays a tenacity to achieve planned objectives regardless of the obstacles. This year’s recipients are Joy Robinson, Stillwater at Grandview Cove, Simpsonville, South Carolina and Jimmy Jansen, Tapestry Cypress Creek, Land O’ Lakes, Florida.

Rookie of the Year – The award is presented to the service and/or community manager who displays outstanding leadership, customer service, resident satisfaction and overall excellence during their first year with Arlington. This year’s recipients are Willie Holmes, Park at Buckingham, Homewood, Alabama, and Mayte Abarca, Tapestry Bocage, Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Team Player of the Year— Presented to the team member who personifies being ready to help, collaborating with the rest of the team to achieve results regardless of different opinions or ways of working than the rest of the team.  This year’s recipient is Kathie Rojas, Tapestry Lake Park, Lutz, Florida.

I Made a Difference – Presented to the manager who consistently produces outstanding results during time of crisis. This year’s posthumous recipient is Gerald Brownlee. The award will be presented to his wife Haven Brownlee.

Additional awards were presented to members of Arlington’s Tech Committee and Yardi Testers, dubbed “Super Users” by Wyble. They included: Tracy Evans, Natalie Daugherty, Caitlyn Limberg, Lauren Turner, Keylee Burnham, Marc Holcombe, Kathie Rojas, DJ Johnson, and Jamey Crosson.
