Arlington Celebrates Management Milestone at The Maclellan in Chattanooga

Arlington Properties recently celebrated its one-year anniversary of professional property management for The Maclellan in Chattanooga, Tenn., with a ribbon cutting ceremony by the Chattanooga Chamber of Commerce. Approximately one-hundred people attended and Arlington regional manager Anne Adams provided remarks on behalf of Arlington Properties.

The Maclellan building has a rich history in Chattanooga. It was built as the home office for Provident Life and Accident Insurance Company. In July 2015 the building was purchased by Memphis-based Heritage Land and Development with an eye on turning 12 of the 13 floors into apartment homes with two units located in the penthouse. Heritage captured the elegant prominence of the building with chandeliers and ornate crown molding in the building’s lobby. These features of unique character and historic charm are carried throughout the building’s 85 apartment homes.

“In early 2017, Arlington was presented the opportunity to manage this historic property,” said Arlington regional manager Anne Adams. “With its prime location, proximity to Riverwalk, dining, entertainment, and the West Village neighborhood, we felt that it would appeal to the lifestyles of professionals wanting the synergy of living and working downtown. That, coupled with top-shelf amenities and technologies has made The Maclellan a highly-desirable community in the Chattanooga market. It is 87% leased at this time.
